Toys, Toys Toys, We Got New Toys

Went shopping with Nikki today – it was a surprise she asked me on Saturday but I was happy she did. Horrible weather initially – sun was shining and blinding me, and I had my coat on to boot! It didn’t last long thankfully. I hope I wasn’t too much of a pain for her – I was very jokey and probably embarrassed her quite a few times, if not made her feel a little bit awkward. I’m still proud of spotting the mannequin ‘Saturday Night’ routine in Evans, and I’m gutted I never got a photo (I felt too embarrassed at the time to take one). How dare she deny my requests for her to buy me a calendar for Xmas – it’s not like I didn’t give her a choice (they were ‘Shayne Ward, ‘Jake Gyllenhaal’ and ‘Nuns Having Fun’ – all sensible options!). Anyway, she went for presents, I went for a torch, and we came back with other stuff instead. I am now the proud owner of a ‘Nightmare Before Xmas’ mug, a ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ mug and glass (yarr!), a torch and a rubber chicken. Sadly the chicken doesn’t have a pulley in the middle, but it does smell like paint and an egg comes out of it’s lower half when squeezed, so it’s not all bad J. I’ve also got a Nemo teddy from ‘Finding Nemo’ – when I get my new bed in my new room in the new year I’ll still probably have no one to share it with, and with the teddy I never will! I must also apologise to the staff in Parchment, the Disney Store and Argos for putting up with me.

Note to self – need to stop using the word ‘fabulous’ so much.

I got a call from Lee too – he wanted to see me and make me smile (no coming up though sadly). I refused as I was still in town at the time, but later asked if he’d pick me up from there when I was done. I still hope he doesn’t think it was too cheeky of me. He gave me a fine demonstration of his lovely new MacBook, complete with dead pixel! I like it (the Mac, not the dead pixel) – it all seems very integrated and polished, and very well thought out. I’m still swaying to Windows Vista though – Mac OS X is all well and good, but Windows is more suited to what I want to do with computers, and if I had a Mac it would be just too limiting for me. But I strongly recommend one for anyone whose needs match their features!

It’s been a long week, with many things happening in work, so now I think I’ll sign off and finish it for good.

Until next time – you never quite know just how useful you’ll find a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle.

Post title inspired by Weebl – ‘Toys 2 Theme’
